Spry Problem in Dreamweaver CS 5.5

Hi Janine,

Very Often i face a problem while adding a spry layout content on my web page, e.g. If i add a spry tabbed Panel on my page, display in Design view is something like source(attached jpg screen shot) though output is perfect as output(attached jpg screenshot). Please do suggest the solution for the same.
thanks,
sangeeta

Hi Sangeeta,

The Design View in Dreamweaver is now rather outdated. It works, much like an older web browser. If you design looks good in all of the browsers you care about, don’t worry about how it looks in Design View. To help mitigate the problem, Adobe added the Live view option. If you click on the LIVE button at the top of the workspace, the Design view display will change to work like the latest versions of Safari, Chrome, and other webkit browsers.
To see how your page will really look, you should always test it in multiple in web browsers. To do that, consider using one of the browser testing services in this article
I hope that helps and I wish you all the best,
Janine

    Hey,

I would never use the spry in Dreamweaver cuz it’s too much code. You can create menu bars in css (even drop down menu!) so you do not need to mess with the spry stuff that Dreamweaver has.

Dreamweaver live view uses the safari engine which is the most widely used engine for most browsers so it’s pretty accurate.
