Learn Web Design at Digital Family

I’d like to add a message to the form on my website.

March 16th, 2009 · No Comments

I have just about finished building my website with your total training DVD……Brilliant.  I’m still a bit hazy on things but learning.  One question………..I have just made a form, as per your instructions, and have tested it on my desktop…It sends correctly. Yipeee!

However, when I send it I would like a message to come up saying, “thank you for contacting us we will be in touch.”

How do I do this??

Regards
John

Hi John,

Thanks for the kind words about my video. Seems you’ve figured out how to use that simple form script just fine, but it is a limited free script.

You will need a more advanced script to be able to customize the thank you message. Honestly, when I need a form that is more customized like that, I usually hire a programmer to take care of it for me. Most good programmers can set something like that up in an hour or two. I could refer you to someone who could help if you like. You might also look over the services offered by your Web host. Some hosting services offer scripts like that for their hosted sites that include more options.

I hope that helps and I wish you all the best,
Janine
