Dreamweaver CS3 or Dreamweaver CS4?

February 4th, 2009 · No Comments

We recently purchased your book, Websites for Dummies. In it you refer to Dreamweaver CS3, but the only trial download we can get is Dreamweaver CS4. The other book we have is Dreamweaver CS3 for Dummies. Would it be easier for us to use DW CS3 together with DW CS3 for Dummies rather than DW CS4? We are real dummies. Please help! Can we still get DW CS3?

Thanks for your help
Sonia

Hi Sonia,

You can certainly still buy used copies of Dreamweaver CS3, but Adobe only offers the trial version of the latest program.

My best advice is to go ahead and get the trial version of CS4. Even though the books you have cover CS3, they will be useful for you because most of the things I cover in those introductory books haven’t changed that much in CS4.

Let me know if you run into trouble.

I wish you all the best,
Janine
