The difference between Dreamweaver 8 and the latest version CS5 is like the difference between using a stone axe to carve petroglyphs into the wall of a cave and using a diamond cutter to create exquisite works of art on the modern Web.
I understand that many people can't upgrade their software as often as I do, but do upgrade your training to the latest version possible. Often you can use my books and videos for a version ahead, like buying a T-shirt you'll grow into as a kid.
If you have Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, by all means get the CS5 video and books. And even if you're using Dreamweaver CS4, you can probably get better help from the CS5 training version. Same for CS3: You'll be better off getting the CS4 training and you’ll be ready when you do to upgrade the software.
If you're trying to learn the latest in Web design, but still working with an older version of Dreamweaver, consider upgrading.
